Donald Trump Cheats At Golf And Is Incompetent But That's The Good News
The bad news is that the only way he'll likely leave the White House is in a gurney or, if he loses in 2028, the military police haul him out
Donald Trump after crashing the stock market by imposing tariffs (including tariffs on islands that only have penguins), the highest tariffs in over 100 years, decided to go golf. Ignoring the irresponsibility of this act, it’s worth noting that he won. He played in a senior tournament at least well enough to win the second round.
What are the odds that a 78-year-old, morbidly obese man is among the best golfers in a senior tournament? Near zero. Why did Trump win? Because he owns the course.
One can easily figure out what happened during the second round of this tournament. The other players deliberately let Trump win. Oops, I missed that shot. Oops, I missed that putt they said again and again. They undoubtedly did the same thing when he won a tournament last month on a course that he owns. It’s likely that Trump cheats as well.
When these tournaments end, Donald collects his trophies to likely applause from the other golfers. Fox News then reports as legitimate news that Trump has won again; isn’t it grand that our Dear President is such a champion! It’s all very Kim Jong Un-esque.
Donald Trump can’t handle reality. Instead, he prefers and has lackeys who tell him everything he wants to hear and give him everything he wants. That wouldn’t be so bad if he were a mere billionaire citizen. But he’s POTUS and that means that the leader of our nation is deluded and delusional 24/7.
Unfortunately for us, Donald Trump doesn’t own the “golf course” called the world. Other nations aren’t hiding their prowess and making mistakes just to make Trump look good. No, they’re bringing their A game. And what about our country? Our representative in the game of the world economy is a seventy-eight-year-old man who isn’t right in the head. That’s why America is losing and turning into a second-rate nation.
The inability of Trump to deal with reality is well known and was on full display on January 6th, 2021. He couldn’t accept losing a legitimate election and helped to organize a violent effort to nullify its results. What’s even perhaps more incredible is that the American public decided to elect him into office yet again in 2024. They ignored Trump’s criminality and desire to upend our democracy.
The reality is that Trump has no remorse over any of this. He’s proud of it, so much so that he’s officially pardoned those who participated in the violence. The reality is that Trump is not going to leave office again willingly. He’ll either leave in an EMT gurney after something like a fatal heart attack or have to be hauled out by the military police if and when he loses in 2028.
I honestly hope it’s the former scenario and hope it happens stat. Trump is destroying all that is good in America. But if scenario one doesn’t happen, what will it take for Trump to lose in 2028 if there are fair elections?
The American public gave us a strong signal in 2024. A startling number of us do not care if America is a democracy. A not-so-startling number of us are either racists and misogynists or don’t care if our president is a racist and misogynist. The American voter cares mostly about one thing: how much money they have in their wallets.
Trump losing in 2028 (and I’m certain he will try to run again in 2028 if he is sentient) will require a sick and ailing economy. The silver lining of Trump’s tariffs, incompetence, and his being surrounded by lackeys is that a sick economy is exactly what Trump will deliver. The American public keeps giving Trump mulligan after mulligan on many issues, including our national security. But they won’t forgive him for making them poorer.
It’s in large part because of the culture’s decadent worship of wealth over all other values that we got into this mess; but if it’s economics that helps to get us out of it, the irony will be acceptable.
He should've been at Dover AFB for the return of fallen service members from Lithuania.
